How Not To Spend Valentine's Day

Well pups, some of you know that this guy has been hanging around my place.

Porcupine

Usually I just sit and stare at him.

Pondering the porcupine.

Yesterday I did something I should not have.

Quills removed by mom and dad at home

They got a few out, but I got so agitated that mom and dad had to take me to the Emergency Vet last night.  Believe me, pups, it is not very romantic to spend Valentine's evening at the Emergency Vet.  I had a rough night and woke mom up several times.  Mom is very tired today because of this.  I am on pain killers for a few more days.  Take it from me, do not get near a porcupine.
Not how you want to spend Valentine's Day evening

  9. I have one more day of pain killers to take, but I am already eating better. I had some in my tongue, under my tongue, in the gums and most were in my chin. Sigh! I should have listened when dad said "Leave it"

  13. I shouldn't laugh. I really shouldn't laugh. It's not funny. Not at all. Next up is a skunk? Is there anyway to relocate those critters?

    1. Oh, we have a skunk hanging around. We have smelled him. Mom always keeps a bottle of Nature's Miracle Skunk Odor Remover around just in case. We know there were four porcupines at one time and we are pretty sure they have all moved on now.

  14. Gosh darn Buddy! Momma just read about your encounter with the needle throwing Porky, and told both Jade and I that this is an important lesson that we should learn from, whatever that means...
